This Agreement governs your use of the Melony software ("Melony"), including its source code, user interface, documentation, and any accompanying files. Audio samples bundled with Melony are covered separately. See the "Audio Samples" section below.

Permitted use

You are granted permission to:

1. Use Melony for any purpose, personal or commercial.
2. Distribute unmodified copies of Melony, provided that this Agreement is included with every copy, the software itself is not sold, and no fee is charged beyond the cost of the media and distribution.
3. Modify Melony for personal, non-public use, including creating derivative works for your own private use.

Restrictions

You are NOT permitted to:

1. Distribute, publish, share, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise make available any modified version of Melony, or any substantial portion of its source code, in any form, whether in source code or compiled form, whether free of charge or for a fee.
2. Claim authorship or ownership of Melony, or represent Melony as your own work, in whole or in part.
3. Use the Melony name, logo, or branding to endorse, promote, or name a derivative work, product, or service without prior written permission from the copyright holder.
4. Remove, alter, or obscure this Agreement, or any copyright notice, from any copy of Melony.

Audio samples

The audio samples bundled with Melony are licensed separately under the WTFPL (Do What The Fuck You Want To Public License, version 2), available at wtfpl.net. The audio samples are not covered by the restrictions in this Agreement. Users are free to use, modify, and redistribute them under the terms of the WTFPL.

No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
